Our Story

Why IEAS exists

IEAS was founded on a simple premise: engineering research should be judged by the difference it makes. The journal publishes original work at the intersection of engineering, computing, and the applied sciences — from artificial intelligence and smart systems to sustainable energy, advanced materials, and digital infrastructure.

Every manuscript is welcomed regardless of its disciplinary label, provided it carries a substantive engineering or applied-science contribution: a new method, system, model, material, design, or validated application, supported by rigorous analysis or experimentation.

What We Publish

Three clusters, ten sections, one standard.

Research is organised into ten standing sections, grouped around three fast-moving clusters of engineering innovation.

AI & Data-Driven Engineering

Machine learning, computer vision, and data-driven decision systems built to solve real engineering problems.

Sustainable Energy & Materials

Renewable energy systems, advanced materials, and low-carbon engineering solutions for real infrastructure.

Robotics & Cyber-Physical Systems

Automation, control, embedded systems, and intelligent manufacturing across industrial applications.

Aims & Scope

Ten sections, one standard: a real engineering contribution.

Every manuscript is placed into one of ten standing sections. The criterion for acceptance is not the disciplinary label of a submission, but whether it offers a genuine engineering or applied-science contribution.

Editorial Board

Who reviews your work

IEAS is guided by an international editorial board of engineering academics and industry practitioners. Editors are assigned by subject section, and every manuscript is assessed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

The board is being formed ahead of the inaugural issue — engineering researchers interested in serving as editors or reviewers are welcome to get in touch.
